The service, while not outstanding, was certainly efficient, prompt and courteous.
Dining area and restrooms were clean (especially clean for the santitary deficient Glen Burnie area).
Menu selection is expansive and creative. Too bad the food was below average for the price. No one is re-inventing the wheel here, so common menu items such as burgers and potato skins should be made so as to compete in quality. Rocky Runs' do not.
Skins were the greasiest I have had in a long time (though good, long and sturdy potatoes are used). The burger patty was flavorful but the bun was aweful - like fluffy white bread, and too big for the patty size. Bun was also soggy as the plates used to serve are cold melamine (created condensation). Single tiny piece of lettuce and single, small tomato slice.
Crab meat used in Quesadilla was horrid. We could not even eat it.
French fries were average.
EVERYTHING was very salty. I almost always use salt on my food and I did not add any on my salad or burger. The fries were excessively salty.
Dessert menu looks good and the family next table to us seemed to enjoy their choices.
Thank goodness they have NTN trivia, or there would be no reason to go back - though I hear their brews are pretty good.
I think there may have been a good and honest attempt at quality, but as far as the Glen Burnie location goes, Rocky Run has missed the mark.
